Devendra Fadanvis clarified that the New Education Policy was introduced earlier. The Maharashtra government is set to implement the New Education Policy (NEP) from the upcoming academic year, starting June 2024. Under this policy, Hindi will be introduced as a compulsory third language alongside Marathi and English for students from Classes 1 to 5 across Marathi and English medium schools.

He added, “If you truly respect Shivaji Maharaj, declare a national holiday on his birth anniversary.”
